Hey folks, I'm Tommy. The Montana Overlander.
The purpose of this blog is to talk about... Well, to talk about things I feel like talking about. So, let's kick this off by throwing out some stuff about me.
I'm Tommy. I'm 20, about to turn 21. I live in Billings, Montana, and I am a Finance major at MSU-Billings. And more than anything I am a traveler. I love exploring new places, new cultures, new people. I spend quite a lot of time traveling, and to be honest it is one of the things I enjoy most about my life. My preferred mode of travel is overlanding. If you've never heard of it before, this should clear it up:

Traveling will be a big part of the blog.
I like cars, mostly 4 wheel drives. My personal vehicle is my project overland/expedition vehicle, a black 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II. That will be the subject of my next post. It serves the purpose of being the chariot that carries me to some of the far-off places that I love so much.
I am a person of very strong faith.
I am a foodie. I like all kinds of different foods, and there is little that I won't try. I love to cook and make all kinds of foods.
I am an anglophile - a fan of all things British. I love the culture and the people and the landscape.
I'm very big into scuba diving too. I've spent a lot of time training and I hope someday to undertake technical deep diving, cave diving, and wreck diving.
So that's me, mostly. I felt inspired by the reports from Norwegian overlanders that I've been following (http://www.unurban.no/) to talk about my travels and overlanding. And things I like and do in general.
I hope you like reading it as much as I like writing it.
